Vicky Pattison’s makeup collaboration and Kylie Minogue’s new vegan fragrance
Apparently, in case you haven’t heard, the side dividers are “cheugy” – AKA not cool.
That’s according to my Gen Z sister and the rest of the taste makers TikTok. They aren’t the only ones to think so – the intermediate separations have taken the A / W ’21 podiums by storm.
Sleek, blunt bobs accompanied the trim midsection at Chanel, at Jason Wu they were pulled back into low ponies, while messy waves made the perfect combo at Victoria Beckham.
There’s no denying that the symmetry of a parting down the middle is effortless and stylish, but my hair naturally falls slightly to the left, so I’m going to have to stay uncool on this one – sorry, sister!
What else is new this month? You’d be forgiven for thinking it’s too late in the year to launch a new brand, but you’d be wrong!
- Pacifica Vegan Collagen Mascara, £ 20 – buy here
Fresh from the US, the Pacifica vegan line launched exclusively on Cultbeauty.co.uk last week and I’m already hooked on Pacifica Vegan Collagen mascara, £ 20. I’m notoriously picky when it comes to mascara (sensitive eyes and oily lids are an annoying combination), but I was impressed with the volumizing wand and conditioning formula, which doesn’t leave lashes crusty. Plus, the line also includes arnica-infused body lotions, perfect for anyone prone to bruises like me!
- Athletia Aroma enveloping hand cream in Feel At Ease, £ 24 – Buy here
Meanwhile, a lasting brand Athlete focuses on natural ingredients and botanical extracts that benefit skin, body and soul – perfect for pampering this holiday season. Filled with moisturizing squalene, jojoba oil and shea butter, Athletia Aroma enveloping hand cream in Feel At Ease, £ 24, has become my must-have thanks to its soothing scent of geranium, bergamot and patchouli.
- RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow cleansing gel, £ 13.49 – buy here
The first skincare brand to make effective retinol available in over-the-counter products decades ago, French pharmaceutical brand RoC is back on UK soil after disappearing in the 2000s. -age is still her mainstay, but I’m obsessed with the latest launch to accompany the comeback – RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow Gel Cleanser, £ 13.49, a vitamin C-rich brightening gel that leaves my face feeling refreshed.
- Kylie Minogue Darling EDP, £ 17.99 for 75ml – buy here
Speaking of returns, I have to mention Kylie Minogue Darling’s comeback, £ 22 for 30ml EDP. The pop icon relaunched the signature scent 15 years after its debut with the same timeless floral notes, but now vegan.
- Barry M Filterless Eyeshadow Palette, £ 24.99 – Buy here
Finally, my favorite Geordie girl next door, Vicky Pattison, has teamed up with makeup artist Lo Dias and the beauty label. Barry M launch a line of capsules called No filter, which includes an unbeatable 35-panel eyeshadow palette, Barry M Filterless Eyeshadow Palette, £ 24.99. I heart!
