It smells of nostalgia! Fragrance fans are going viral with a list of VERY retro scents that instantly take them back to their youth (so how many do you remember?)

Now, fragrance fans have gone viral with a Twitter feed celebrating retro scents that instantly take them back to their youth – some are still going strong today, while others have been discontinued.

The discussion was started by the influencer benon wine who asked people to “name a perfume or aftershave that takes you back to your youth?”.

It was quickly inundated with responses as some fondly remembered the Body Shop‘s range of fragrances from Dewberry to White Musk, others recalled the school locker room being shrouded in a cloud of Impulse after physical education class.

Some remember when they thought they had reached the pinnacle of sophistication after buying their first perfume as a teenager, like YSL Rive Gauche.

Another joked that the Denim Men’s Aftershave smelled like “the exhaust pipe of an Austin Allegro”.
