New makeup, hair and skincare releases: September 30, 2022

September passed quickly. (Seriously, how is it time to think about Halloween already?) But saying goodbye to summer isn’t so bad. To wrap up the month, there are some pretty exciting new makeup releases and other beauty launches to get you all settled into the fall 2022 season.

There are fun and colorful new cosmetics to play with, like a limited-edition Live Tinted and FORVR Mood kit to celebrate Diwali and Anastasia Beverly Hills’ new fan-favorite eyeshadow palette. Last, but certainly not least, Balmain has made the biggest announcement: the iconic fashion house is entering the world of beauty.

For your skincare needs, there have even been innovative launches for your complexion. The Ordinary is launching a new acne treatment under $6 and thanks to OUI The People, you can also support very important initiatives that help fight for abortion rights.

YES The people supported abortion rights

YES The People is doing what it can to help protect abortion rights. In a special collaboration with Brazilian artist and illustrator Niege Borges comes the Green Bandana Project, a wearable piece of art to show unity. All proceeds will go to a non-profit organization Alliance for the health of all women (WWHA), which works to maintain clinics in places where abortion rights are under attack.

Harry’s released a chic shaving set

The coolest grooming brand just got cooler. Harry’s has teamed up with Matte Black Coffee Shop for a limited-edition set that includes a matte black razor with a new, sleeker aesthetic. The partnership also includes an immersive, pop-up experience in downtown Los Angeles at matte black coffee from Friday September 30 to Sunday October 2.

Anastasia Beverly Hills went metal

Balmain has set its sights on beauty

Iconic fashion house Balmain is stepping into makeup and skincare. Fans may already know – and love – the hair tools and care line, but in 2024 there will be more fabulous products on the way.

Live Tinted x FORVR Mood celebrated Diwali

To celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Live Tinted’s Deepica Mutyala and FOVR Mood’s Jackie Aina have teamed up to create a limited edition set for your best glow – on your skin and in your home. The double ended eyeliner comes with a light shade and a complementary darker shade to define the eyes and create more dimension. These shades of clear sky blue and deep ocean are particularly gorgeous with plenty of staying power.

The Ordinary has launched its first over-the-counter acne treatment

The Ordinary has just launched an over-the-counter acne treatment: 2% salicylic acid solution. This water-based serum uses salicylic acid, a known anti-acne ingredient, to clean pores and provide gentle exfoliation. Moreover, it also reduces redness and prevents future breakouts. All that for less than $6? What a victory.

Three ships dropped biodegradable eye masks

If you use eye patches and want to reduce waste, Three Ships has a solution. The brand recently launched 100% biodegradable eye masks made with red algae that breaks down masks after use and recycled avocado extract to brighten and reduce puffiness.

VIOLET_FR even better

With its mesmerizing marble print and pretty pink and red hues, the new Bisou Blush is a work of art in itself, but it also delivers natural-looking color that blends seamlessly into skin. Fan of the brand Kiss Balms? You’ll be glad to know that these are back (and better) too.

Space Explored Urban Decay

Urban Decay’s nude palettes are the stuff of beauty legends. Now the brand is collaborating with an illustrator based in Los Angeles Robin Eisenberg for an all-new release with space-inspired patterns and hues.
