Mosquito Repellent Tip: Wear Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Perfume
A study published in the Journal of Insect Science found that mosquitoes hate the smell!
If you really want to fly under the mosquito radar, these are the main things you didn’t know you need to know about what you wear, drink, and a scent that doubles as a repellent.

Mosquitoes love beer too. Researchers have found that drinking just one beer increases the attraction of mosquitoes. #1. the co2 bubbles from the beer when it’s opened and it attracts them. #2. Ethanol in beer is also a trigger. #3 Your body temperature rises when you drink alcohol, which creates an aroma they love.
Wear this perfume. Speaking of scents, there’s a popular Victoria’s Secret scent called Bombshell that apparently works as a repellent. It may smell good for us but not for the mosquitoes. What about this perfume? A study published in the Journal of Insect Science not sure why due to cosmetics containing so many proprietary ingredients it is difficult to know what the active agent is.
Clean up the garden. Don’t overlook little things like bottle caps left in the yard. They can lay eggs in any standing water. The EPA advises covering or discarding items that retain water such as plugs, buckets, planters, toys, birdbaths, flower pot saucers, or garbage cans. Pest control company Orkin warns that water is also a food source while mosquitoes are in their aquatic stages.
