Made By Me, solid fragrances that can be combined to personalize your perfume
Solid formulas, layering, eco-design, new gestures … the new Done by me brand concept combines several of the major trends of the moment, in particular, the customization of its perfume, the privacy and practicality gesture.
“After 20 years in the cosmetics sector. I have witnessed the progression of the ability to take ownership of your makeup or skincare, especially through tutorials and influencers. I found it a shame not to apply this for perfume and thus bring out his personality, his inner emotions, but also to be able to detach himself from them so as not to be confined in the same register,“explains the creator.
The superposition or the superposition of several juices or single flowers already introduced by certain brands does not suit him. Because the volume and liquid format of traditional perfumes entail too many constraints, Nathalie Duran explored the solid avenue of perfumes with formulas that she wanted soft and non-greasy, but also colorful to accentuate the “tutorial dimension”.
“We went looking for makeup formulas and worked on solutions with colors that fade on the skin. These formulas also had to adapt to a high concentration of perfume because our fragrances are concentrated at 11%,“adds the creator.
Five fragrances were created by Perfumers Domitille Michalon Bertier, Caroline Dumur and Fanny Bal from IFF on the theme of the Nude, to project a real olfactory identity, alone or in combination. Like a palette designed by a makeup artist, these fragrances are designed to live together.
In the center of the pallet is All Over U Musk, a complete fragrance which serves as a basis for the compositions. Turning around her, Candide Flower and its notes of orange blossom, Orange fever, Blitz Fig and finally Musk Crush with its sensual notes.
“We advise you to make its recipe with 1 to 3 fragrances maximum, possibly adding a few notes of other fragrances depending on the moment or the mood. The most important thing is to explore your desires, to make it a fun moment of creation,“assures Nathalie Duran.
To achieve the right balance, essential for a good release, the brand recommends dosing more light colors than dark colors, which have stronger and more persistent notes.
“In terms of endurance and persistence, the user will be fully satisfied as long as they put in enough. As for the wake, we have developed a whole ritual for the wrists and the hair,“, specifies Nathalie Duran.
The formulas are free from parabens, phthalates and alcohol. The packaging – a palette of five or two flavors – is made of 100% recyclable or reusable cardboard, and covered with a bioplastic coating.
The brand has been available online since March 8 and plans to open a sales site in South Korea by the end of the year, as well as develop a new palette of five fragrances in 2022.
