Beauty mogul Bobbi Brown has expanded her direct-to-consumer makeup brand Jones Road with a new hair care line.

Created in collaboration with hairstylist Hervé Claude, the brand’s first Hair Balm is available on Brown’s website for US$34.

The protein blend and castor oil are the key ingredients, believed to help improve and revitalize damaged hair, repair split ends, and protect against heat and UV rays.

“I love using it on second-day hair to help smooth a ponytail and control frizz,” Brown said.

The brand recommends applying a one-fourth amount to hands, working through moist air from roots to ends.

“For fine or thin hair, start with a small amount,” Claude added.

Brown founded her eponymous brand in 1991 and sold it to Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) four years later.

She remained with the group for the next 22 years, developing products and running the business, but made the decision to leave in 2017.

Brown then returned to the cosmetic arena in 2018 when she launched her (now discontinued) line of nutraceuticals, Evolution_18.

The range of beauty and wellness products was designed to complement her health coach certification.

She would go on to found Jones Road two years later in October 2020.

The Jones Road product range has been created to suit all ages, skin types and skin tones, with ‘clean’ and high quality formulations for women to achieve a ‘no makeup’ look.

Brown also recently joined luxury skincare brand Augustinus Bader to inspire its creative direction in July 2022.

“We are thrilled to share with you that our friend and longtime Bader enthusiast, Bobbi Brown, has joined Augustinus Bader as Chief Creative Advisor,” the brand revealed in an Instagram post at the time.
